Riverdeep's Classroom Flyer from Tuesday, August 8th recommends this game based on the popular strategy game Battleship, students use weekly spelling words on a grid and work with partners to locate the hidden words and correctly spell them for points.

You can use this game at any level, and fill in the squares with anything you need : numbers to trains the students to read them; phonetic symbols and words to help students focus on sounds; matching pictures and descriptions, words and their translation, a question and an answer.....Students will enjoy playing and learn without realizing it.
